Dear Friends,

Wow, I can’t believe that it’s December, and another year is almost over. That means the end of my 3 year Alla Prima Plein Air painting journey. I’m actually a little sad that this journey is ending. I would love to be able to continue it indefinitely. It is my passion to go out and paint, and there is just so much that still needs to be painted. I’m not sure what journey is in store for me next… I just hope it will be as enjoyable as the past three years have been.

Back to November, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. November was a special month for me, not just for painting, but we had a new addition to our family. My nephew Kevin and his charming wife Chris brought into the world a happy and healthy baby girl. Our best wishes and happy prayers go out to them. Especially Kevin; 4 girls, 1 house. Best of luck, Kevin!

November brought some wonderful colors and a few new places for me to paint and more to put on my places to paint list. I had the opportunity to paint in Craig, CO, Idaho Springs, and I even had the chance to paint in Timnath, Colorado, what a quiet little town. There are so many wonderful places and things in this wonderful world of ours to paint. I wish I could paint en Alla Prima Plein Air everyday until I was a old man and couldn’t hold a brush any longer. Alas, even though I will enjoy my last month of painting to the fullest extent that I possibly can, all good things must come to an end. I have a feeling my next journey may unfortunately have a phrase such as, ‘Welcome to the Home Depot paint department, my name is Ted, how may I help you?’
