August 2009

Hello my friends,

I hope you had a wonderful August — school starting, the warm days and cooler nights are now upon us.

Now that we’re actually into September, I am loving the color changes and I find myself quite excited about painting the fall colors.

August was another wonderful month of painting. I had a chance to participate in the Paint, Shoot, Sculpt Quick Draw Paint Out and even though the turnout was small, there were a few great art supporters. I did three paintings and 2 of them were auctioned off. We would love for you to join us for the opening reception at the end of the Paint, Shoot, Sculpt event on Sept. 25, 5-8pm at the Center for the Arts Evergreen.

September is a big month. First, we would like to invite you to the Open Door Studio Tour this weekend, Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday Sept. 20 from 9 am – 5 pm. Our doors will be open for a tour of the studio and artwork. I will be working on my painting of the day – we will have snacks, drinks and even the famous chocolate fountain. Stop by to say “hi”, we would love to see you! I will for the first time, have “bin artwork” of original paintings available. “We’re Having a Huge Inventory Liquidation Sale!” (That was my used car salesman voice). We need to make room for 365 new paintings (we’re at 276 already) and would rather see the other paintings go to a good home instead of putting them in storage.

Also, this September I am participating in the Golden Triangle Plein Air Event. Please join us for the opening reception at the Denver Art Museum, 7th floor, Nov. 6 from 6-9 for a night of wonderful art, music, drinks and food.

Well, that’s about it for now. I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones happy, healthy and doing well.

I would like to thank you all for your kind words and encouragement for this project. Only 89 more to go!

Take care and as always, may love fill your heart and art fill your life.

Sincerely,
Ted
