October 2009
Hello my friends,
Wow! I can’t believe it’s November already. I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. I hope you had a great Halloween and I now I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving, yum!
October was an intriguing month to paint. It had days filled with warmth and color. There were days that make you realize that it is autumn and that winter is very near. Those were the days that were in the mid 20’s and nearly three feet of snow had fallen. One thing I do love about this time of year, is where the warmth of autumn blends with the coolness of winter, it makes for challenging paintings! I did realize pretty quickly that I need to carry more white paint with me now.
I would like to say thank you to all of you who dropped by the opening of the Golden Triangle Plein Air Show at the Denver Public Library. It was great to see everyone. It was a wonderful and quite a successful show. I feel very honored to be able to show alongside so many talented painters.
That’s about it for October. I look forward to the rest of November and what it may bring. With 310+ paintings down, I am looking forward to the last 55 or so days of the year. Then next year, I have another big exciting project planned, but I’ll tell you more about that later. For now, relax and enjoy October’s Journey.
Take care and stay warm.
Sincerely,
Ted Garcia
