Hello, and welcome my friends, to July’s journey of Plein Air 365!

I hope everyone is having a great summer. I for one, am having a fantastic summer. The weather has been incredible with the cool mornings to paint in, and the warm afternoon thunder showers make for some amazing colors.

July is a special month for me. I only get a chance to paint fireworks 2 times a year, and the last time I painted fireworks, it was 3 below zero, and I was standing on a frozen lake. So, I was looking forward to painting in the warm weather.

This year was the first time for me to paint the 4th of July fireworks. The past 2 years, for one reason or another, I couldn’t schedule it right, and I have only been able to paint the New Year’s Eve fireworks display. Well, this year, I planned and scheduled to paint the fireworks, and all I can say is… what fun it was!!!

The rest of the month, I spent looking in new areas and painting all the wonderful flowers that were blooming.
