January 2013
Welcome, my friends, to January 2013 Plein Air 365â„¢,
Well, we all made it through the Mayan end of days and the beginning of a new year. I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones off to a great new start.
January was another great month of places, things, and wonderful colors to paint. I had the chance to paint the great ice sculpture at Evergreen lake to bring in the new year. January also marked my goal of doing 1,500 alla prima plein air paintings. I can’t believe that I actually hit my goal! It only took 5 years to do. I can not tell you of all of the struggles, anguish, and suffering that has come with this journey, nor can I give enough praise for what this journey has taught me. Mother Nature has taught me more than any teacher could, and I thank her for all of the highs and lows. Yet my journey is not over yet. Just like the first year, I had our Plein Air 365â„¢ show in Evergreen, I will still paint up to the day of the Grand Opening of The World’s Largest One-Man Show in Scottsdale, Arizona (displaying all 1500+ paintings)! That’s right, Scottsdale, Arizona!! January also brought a well needed addition to the Ted Garcia Plein Air and Fine Art family, Mr. Russ Cannizzaro of The Artrepreneur, my new art agent! I am so very excited for this new addition. I can now focus on my painting and pass over the reins of representing my work to the pros!
Once again there is so mush more that I could tell you about each painting from this month, but I’ll wait for the book to bore you with all the stories and reasons of why I chose to paint each scene. For now, please sit back and enjoy January’s journey as much as I did painting it.
May love fill your heart and art fill your world.
Best Regards,
Ted
P.S. If you are in the Evergreen area and would like a great piece of art for an even better price, please visit my show at the Buchanan Rec. Center in Evergreen, CO. I have a one-man show on display there, and you can also stop in at Stoneheart Gallery in Evergreen for even more great works.
