August 2013
Welcome, my friends, to August’s 2013 Plein Air 365â„¢,
First I have to say sorry for the late letter, but things have been crazy in the Garcia home. August brought us computer challenges, digital camera issues and even the building of an entire new bathroom from the ground up.
August was also the beginning of the Colorado Plein Air competition. This is one painting competition that I look forward to each year. It is two months of great painting locations. This year there was even a quick draw competition in Georgetown at the train station. I was fortunate enough to be one of the winners with my painting of the Devils Gore.
There were so many wonderful places that I had the opportunity to paint, everything from red rocks to a white buffalo and even a great view of Denver filled with wildflowers. There was also a great day at City Park including the chance to paint some incredible sunrises and sunsets.
Once again, there is so much more that I could tell you about each painting from this month, but for now, I hope you enjoy viewing August’s journey as much as I did painting it.
May love fill your heart and art fill your world.
Best Regards,
Ted
