October 2013
Welcome, my friends, to October’s journey of Plein Air 365â„¢, 2013.
I can’t believe that we’re already into the fall, where did the summer go? Even though the days are getting much shorter, as well as much cooler, we have had a fantastic fall. It was full of great reds, golds and even some nice warm greens. With all the nice sunny days, I found myself painting a lot of cottonwoods and scrub oaks. I just love trying to capture those wonderful golds and ambers and how they just popped out against the cool blues of the mountains, it was a delight to paint. I also had a few great days of painting at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. If you get a chance, I would recommend visiting the park.
October also brought the acceptance notice for the Colorado Plein Air event and I’m very excited to say that 5 of my paintings were accepted into the show! If you have a moment, please join me at the reception, November 12, from 6pm-9pm, or anytime throughout the month of November at the Denver Public Library.
Once again, there is so much more that I could tell you about each painting from this month, but for now please sit back, relax and I hope you enjoy October’s journey as much as I did painting it.
May love fill your heart and art fill your world.
Best Regards,
Ted
