November 2012
Welcome, my friends, to November’s journey of Plein Air 365â„¢,
Wow, where has the year gone? Last we spoke I was thinking of Thanksgiving, and now it’s almost Christmas and the end of another year. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, I’d like to share a little bit of November’s journey.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I know I did! Plenty of food and visiting with wonderful family, how could you go wrong? Besides Thanksgiving, November had some great places and incredible colors to paint.
I took a few days in November to paint along the Golden, CO flat top area. This is a fun area to paint in because you can get a few peaks that have the Arizona look without having to go to Arizona.
I also spent a few days in Ft. Collins painting. I really enjoy painting there. It provides not only a nice change of scenes, but it has some fantastic pastel colors that I don’t get to see in the mountain area.
I also would like to thank everyone that came out to see the Golden Triangle Plein Air Show at the Denver Public Library. I was lucky enough to have 3 pieces accepted into the show, and on opening night, 2 of the 3 had already sold, I couldn’t believe it! What a great night.
Well once again, I could keep on going on and on about each painting and all the great people and places I had the chance to see, but for now, please sit back and enjoy November’s journey.
I almost forgot to let everyone know that I will be painting the fireworks for the last time (well, the last time to paint them doing my Plein Air 365â„¢ journey). This will be the fourth time for me to paint in the New Year. If all goes well, I will be on the east end of the lake on the ice. Please join me if you get the chance, I’ll be there with paint and hot cocoa in hand.
If I don’t see you at the fireworks, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Best Wishes,
Ted
